Having quality sushi in Astoria doesn’t seem impossible anymore with Watawa Sushi around. There’s a reason why Watawa is very famous in Astoria and it’s simply because of their unique sushi and several other meals on their menu, like Rock Shrimp, Shrimp Tempura, and other tasty seafood. Beyond the impressive taste of their meals, you also get to feel comfortable, all thanks to their friendly staff. It also has a nice atmosphere that leaves you cheerful even when you’re done with your meal.
2. Aji Sushi House
Aji sushi house is unarguably one of our favorite sushi spots in Astoria. Their meals are absolutely tasty and you’ll definitely come back for more. You also get your order served to you quickly as their customer service is superb and their employees are friendly and hardworking too. It is a nice and spacious sushi spot to hang around and eat. Literally, every meal on their menu is worth trying out.
If you’re going to eat Japanese on a date, Gaijin has just the right atmosphere you need to ease the tension and satisfy your cravings too. The layout and lighting of this restaurant are lovely, allowing you to take lovely photos whenever. Every meal ordered is deserving of the price, as they are fresh and deliciously prepared. They also have an à la carte menu with the Hamachi being our personal favorite, and many other meals to try out – like the Akami, silverfish and, otoro.
4. Pink Nori
At Pink Nori, you get to eat quality sushi at an affordable price, whether you need to dine in this restaurant or have your sushi to-go. You also get to taste a variety of delicious rolls at Pink Nori without having to spend a lot. They also have a nice and inexpensive beer, sake and, wine you could use to wash down every piece of delicious sushi you’ve had.
5. Bai Sushi
If you’re looking for a cool sushi place in Astoria to grab a quick lunch, Bai Sushi is just where you’d need to go. Our favorite thing about this restaurant is its menu, with a variety of rolls and other meals to choose from. Choosing what to eat might be difficult, especially when you’re a newbie, but whatever you’d be ordering is definitely going to be delicious. We recommend the Bai Naruto and Titanic roll for first-timers; you could try out other dishes on the menu when next you’d be needing a quick lunch.
There are so many reveals to fall in love with Kondo; one of them being the top-notch customer service you’d receive. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and you’d easily feel at home here. The restaurant is neat and cozy – a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner peacefully without feeling the urge to leave as soon as you can. Their sushi is absolutely tasty and worth every penny spent. You could also try out their sashimi deluxe for a better experience and confirmation that they do sell authentic meals here.
7. Sushi Yasuda
If you need to have one of the best omakase experiences in Astoria, going to Sushi Yasuda is just how you can get it. Their meals are fresh, authentic, and, tasty. The structure of this restaurant also helps you enjoy Japanese cuisine even better than you would in other restaurants. You also get to enjoy tasty wine and sake at Sushi Yasuda.
8. Hama Japanese Cuisine
Hama Japanese Cuisine has one of the friendliest staff members you’d ever find in Astoria. Their customer service is over the roof with employees that are actually interested in what you’d love to have, especially when you’re a clueless newbie. They make fresh and tasty sushi, alongside several delicious meals brought to life by Japanese cuisine.
9. Sushi Yasaka
At Sushi Yasaka, you get to taste the wonderful delight of a fresh and properly made sushi. If you’re visiting New York City and you need a restaurant to change your impression about Japanese cuisine, Sushi Yasaka is a wonderful place to try out. All meals here are served fresh and delicious with an appealing sake menu.1

Sushi served at Poke is always fresh and delicious. It sure is a quiet place to enjoy your sushi without leaving in a rush, but quiet isn’t always bad. If you’re visiting Astoria and you need to have a bite of one of the tastiest burritos in New York City, Poke is just the perfect restaurant to visit.
13. Nobu 57
Waiters at Nobu 57 are friendly and always willing to help diners with the menu, ensuring they get the best out of their money. The ambiance of this restaurant is elite and they serve quality meals. Although meals served here are expensive, you’d sure be getting your money’s worth every time you make an order.
14. JJ’s Fusion
JJ’s Fusion is your go-to restaurant for authentic sushi. The atmosphere here is so welcoming and relaxing, keeping you laid back, well enough to enjoy your meal nice and slow. They serve a variety of rolls that are also worth trying out. We recommend the Astoria roll for newbies; it’ll definitely give you a reason to come back for more.

Sake Kawa has one of the most impressive and quality omakase services in NYC. You get to eat tasty sushi and rolls for reasonable prices, it almost seems like you’re paying less for meals of such good quality.
