This is a budget-friendly joint that offers a chicken kebab starter, chicken curry, varieties of nans like garlic naan, butter naan and a drink, all of these will come at only 20 dollars. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quantity and quality of the food. If you want an atomic experience just ask in the counter to make your food spicier. They will prepare the food according to your taste.

The chicken biryani succulent and warm and the Palak Paneer is the best cheese you will ever have. The sauce in this restaurant is mind-blowing.

LIC Grill

Bengal Tiger

Right in the middle of Queens on a second floor, the Bengal Tiger occupies space. The place is tidy yet a bit tiny and tends to get crowded thanks to the amazingly delicious food.

The menu is versatile and since this is Indian cuisine things can get quite spicy and even with the cucumber in yogurt the fiery spice can get to you. So ask for some valued guidance before you blindly order from the menu. The Bengal Tiger offers no Alcohol. The food is so good no one even cares about the alcohol.

The vegetables are delicate in this restaurant, a sautéed spinach, cauliflower or mashed potatoes or eggplants, black lentils and garlic naan, you name it the items are just worth it. The dessert, for example, the rice pudding is one to die for. All these for three people will only cost 70 dollars and it is worth it.

The Tandoori Prawn and the butter chicken is delicious top them up with side dishes of rosemary naan and Basmati Rice. The perfect Indian cuisine along with the hospitality of the subcontinent is served. You will get the great Indian Cuisine and satisfactory service, as mentioned before the place gets congested so do not expect much of elegance.

Amma is another word for mother in the Indian subcontinent. As the name suggests this restaurant provides great warm and spicy food.The good price point for every dish. You can choose the range of spicy that you want.

The little snacks from India are also available here, Samosas are tasty crispy, and delicious. Chicken Korma comes with a special sauce. This Indian restaurant also offers vegetarian-style meals. Given the name, Amma one would expect a much more elegant staff. But in reality, the staff is poorly trained. However, the service is still kin and attentive. What they lack in a skill makes up for their warmth in service.

They have an enriched menu that consists of both the vegetarian meal and Meat rich meals and both are equally delicious. The chicken tikka, Aloo Gobi (a potatoes dish), Punjabi kadhi Pakora, lamb Vindaloo are just a few of the attractions. The main courses include garlic Naan and varieties of Biriyani.

The restaurant has a laidback setting in a refined atmosphere. The service is amazing. Once you sit down you do not have to call out for service there will be at least two or three servers at your beck and call overseeing your dining all the time. This is a sophisticated

The braised lamb ribs will give you quite an impression. The range of Naan is inexplicably long and you will find them to be delicious. Just as the food they offer their service is also top-notch.

The dishes are hella delicious but the plates that they come in are quite small. The dessert though they are tasty is not even enough for a big person.

They have a great outdoor space in the back and inside is just as cozy. The patio in the back is just as comfortable. There is a uniqueness to this Kurry Kulture Restaurants’s overall stature. The Décor in this restaurant is delightful and elegant. On top of that this restaurant is quite spacious.

The dishes are pure elegance from Indian. Not only the décor but also the food served here are of the Indian delicacy of the aristocrat. The Kurry Kulture gets innovative with their menu. The dishes are quite different, there is a dish named 100 days that is made with fresh chunks of pineapple, Aperol, and dark rum.

 The variety along with taste in this restaurant is galvanizing. The KQ Cauliflower, Coconut Pepper Shrimp, Teekh Murghi (Chicken Tikka) are some of the mouth-watering food. The cocktail comes with a large scale diversity as well.

The service here is cordial as well as attentive. The meal is good and you are sure to have a great time here. The music played here is soothing and makes the environment relaxing. The wine is good and the food is spicy and delicious. You are sure to have a good time here.

Kurry Kulture

Raj’s Indian Kitchen

Raj’s Indian Kitchen has a satisfactory quality of Indian Food. Raj means kingly and this indeed serves the original Indian dishes of the aristocrat. It serves a range of food that even includes fish, it does not get any more authenticate than this. The fish moilee is quite a delicious dish.

The meals in this restaurant are warm and tasty. The meat is well cooked and one can tell that the meat is quite fresh as well. The dishes come in big portions meaning that you get an even larger portion when compared to other prices for even less price. You are probably going to go home with leftovers once you finish dining at this restaurant.

Raj’s Restaurant is a great place to order from especially if you live in Greenpoint or LIC.In addition to the fact that they serve bigger portions, you can always mix it up by replacing the rice with curry and vice versa.

The curry here is of great flavor. Not too spicy but the correct Indian delicacy. They tend to have little difference between hot and spicy even though there are options. The vegetable samosas are bigger than you can anticipate. The snacks if you do not show discretion while ordering will fill you up.

The service in this restaurant is attentive and kind. They are quite transparent about their menu as well. However, the serving time is a bit longer even if there are only a few customers.

Raj's Indian Kitchen

The Drunken Munkey

Right across the Courtyard Marriot UES is situated  The Drunken Munkey. This gem of a restaurant offers amazing Indian cuisine along with incredible cocktails.

The restaurant is small and cozy. The décor is as the name suggests, everything is themed to bear the symbol of monkey. The lighting, monkey-themed wallpaper, all is done in a vintage style.

They offer a wide range of Indian cuisine. But one needs to be careful not to choose a very spicy on just to be adventurous. Ask the hosts, they are friendly and will help you choose.

They have the braised Yorkshire Masala Short Ribs and the butter chicken tikka masala and the dishes are perfections. The masala Bombay lambs will make you appreciate the Indian style of cooking even more.


The drinks are innovative and diverse. The cocktails are an absolute delight. One particular delight of a drink is the Aviation Cocktail, the cricket rum ball. The deserts are even sweeter, the kheer is dense milk delight.

The special birthday arrangement, the sparkler is blown after the light is mimed and the music gets loud. A wonderful and thoughtful birthday special by Drunken Munkey.

This is a Phenomenal Indian Restaurant and it is very popular in Queens. Hence make sure to make reservations or else you might have to wait a long while. The tips are charged directly from your credit card by  thye way. The service may seem slow at times, but it is worth the food.

This restaurant is not a full blown vegan restaurant but it has some fine vegetarian options .The Royal Indian is an Indian Cuisine based restaurant. The spicy foods here are just the right intensity of spice.
